TERMS OF BOARDING

 

  • Vaccinations
    No cat is admitted without valid, up to date vaccinations against the following infectious diseases: Feline panleucopenia virus (FPV, or Feline Infectious Enteritis), Feline herpesvirus (FHV), and Feline calicivirus (FCV).
     

  • Vaccination certificates
    Cats without valid vaccinations will be refused onto the premises, and owners must ensure that they bring the vaccination certificate along. All cats require a current vaccination certificate, which we will keep on record for the duration of their stay.

 

  • Booking confirmation & Payment
    A deposit fee of £2.00 per cat per day is required to confirm your booking. We reserve the right to cancel tentative bookings if a deposit is not paid within 14 days. Boarding fees are payable in full if cat is collected before the agreed departure date. For further information on rates and opening hours please visit our information page. Payment is levied from the day of drop off up until and including day of collection.

 

  • Deposit & Cancellations
    Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made on or within 7 days prior to arrival will be charged 100% of the total outstanding amount.

 

  • Flea & Worm treatment
    All cats should have been treated against fleas and worms before being dropped off for boarding and date of last treatment is to be indicated on the boarding from. Should any cat on arrival require treatment for internal or external parasites (fleas, worms, etc) then the cost of treatment will be added to the total boarding fee.

 

  • Inurance & Vet fees
    Pet Plan Insurance is included in the boarding fee, certain restrictions apply. If it is necessary to take a cat to the vet then a charge of £20 will be added to the final bill.

 

  • Illness/Emergencies
    Cats that are clearly unwell, or suffering or suspected of suffering from infectious or contagious disease will not be accepted at arrival.
    When leaving your cat in our care, you agree that in case of emergencies, your cat will be taken to the nearest vet to ensure swift examination if your own vet is further away.
    Should the recommendation of the vet be to put the cat down, we will try to contact you or your emergency contact immediately to seek your permission. However, should we not be able to get a response within 24 hours then we will follow the vets recommendation to avoid unnecessary suffering of the cat.

 

  • Disclaimer
    Whilst every care and precaution is taken to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all cats, they are boarded entirely at the owner’s own risk.

 

  • Customer reviews
    We partner with an independent review company, Reevoo, to allow all customers of Baads Cottage Cattery to submit a review of their experience anonymously. This invitation to write a review is part of our post booking process. You will be invited to write a review via e-mail after you have collected your cat(s). You do not have to visit, complete or submit the questionnaire, and you can opt out of the process by clicking the “unsubscribe”  link in the review invitation e-mail at any time. Once unsubscribed, you will not receive any further e-mails with regards to customer reviews.
