Indoor & outdoor accommodation
Safe, secure and warm
The safety and comfort of your pet is our utmost concern. All of our indoor pens benefit from being housed within a double-glazed, centrally heated building with it's own alarm system. So it doesn't matter what the weather throws at us...you can rest assured that your cat will be both roasty and toasty at all times.
We have 20 indoor pens and 6 outside pens. The outside pens are a similar size to the indoor pens but have an additional outside area for your cat to enjoy when the weather is nice. If the weather isn't great (and let's face it...this is Scotland!) then they have the option of staying inside their pen where the temperature is controlled by their own electric heater. We only use the outside pens during the Summer months.
Although you are perfectly welcome to bring along any home comforts (bedding and scratch posts etc), we do provide all food, bedding, toys and litter while we are looking after your cat. So if you want to keep it simple, you simply need to arrive with your cat and we'll take care of the rest!
If your cat has a specific diet, or is just a bit fussy when it comes to their food, then don't worry, we are happy to cater to their every whim. The only time we would need you to supply their food is if it can only be acquired via prescription from a Vet.
We know that some other Cattery's charge for administering medication, but we don't feel comfortable charing you extra because your cat is unlucky enough to have an ongoing medical condition. We will discuss your cats medical routine with you and draw up a daily medication chart for the duration of their stay so that you can have peace of mind that they have received their treatment properly in your absence. We are also happy to administer injections for diabetic cats.
It's all inclusive
Medication is administered for free

Running a cattery is quite unlike most businesses. It's more of a lifestyle choice. So you can rest assured that there will always be somebody in attendance, 24/7 to keep a close eye on all of the cats in our care.
All cats that stay with us are fully insured and benefit from 24 hour Vet call-out should they require it.
We are also fully Licensed by the Council.
Fully insured and Licensed
24 hour on-site attendance
Although we don't offer a complete pick up and delivery service, we are more than happy to help out if we possibly can. So if you live within a reasonable distance from us and are unable to bring your cat to us yourself, then please do give us a ring to discuss your situation. We will do our level best to help where we can. We are especially happy to assist any elderly or infirm customers.
And finally...we guarantee you that Baads Cottage Cattery is "Dog Free Zone". It's not that we have anything against our canine friends, but let's face it, your cat would probably does!
And don't worry...cuddles, brushing, long chats, ear rubbing and treat giving are all part of the service...and just between us...it's our favourite part of the job!
